15th AXDW: Konstantinos Mitrovgenis Unfold A/W 2014-2015 Collection

The final show of the third day of the 15th AXDW was that of Konstantinos Mitrovgenis. I had already read in the press release I had received that Konstantinos Mitrovgenis was inspired by the ancient traditional Japanese folding paper technique of Origami in order to create his Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection which he named "Unfold". I found myself waiting impatiently for the show to start, as each of the designer's collections is presented every time in such a unique conceptual and complete fashion show, meaning that it consists of an inspiring concept upon which a promo video, flyers, music and, of course, amazing outfits are created, so I just couldn't wait to see the new collection! Before the fashion show started, I went backstage to have a quick word with Konstantinos, as we had arranged an interview afterwards, and caught a first glimpse of the clothes. Then the show started with a fantastic live by The Mode and models started striding down the runway wearing beautiful impressive outfits in vibrant colours with bold prints as well as folds in perfect harmony with the body! All I can say is that each Konstantinos Mitrovgenis fashion show is a unique experience! After watching the fashion show and while talking with Konstantinos, I realized once again how truly charismatic, pioneer, interesting and genuine he is as a designer and as a person and that we could go on and on talking about his collections, fashion, his new project, life and its hidden meanings and his deep philosophical quests. Enjoy the photos as well as the interview Konstantinos Mitrovgenis gave exclusively to Fashion Goes Rock! :)
